Sales Executives

SUMMARY OF POST

We are currently looking for staff to join our elite sales team. Successful candidates will be responsible for approaching and selling advertising to local businesses on the behalf of LX News Ltd. You must have a proven background in marketing or sales, be confident, enthusiastic and well presented. Contacts amongst the Liverpool business community is an advantage.

Although the role requires you to work individually in the approach and pitching processes, you will be part of a wider Sales Team to ensure a coordinated marketing approach.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

o Prepare a sales pitch based on given information.
o Approach local businesses to deliver that pitch.
o Successfully sell advertising both for the print newspaper and website.
o Meet with the wider sales team and coordinate an effective sales campaign.
o Any other reasonable duties as required by the Managing Director or the Senior Sales Executive.

PAY: 10% of any advertising sold, including repeat advertising for 6 months.

Must have:

* Excellent time management
* Excellent organisational skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Previous sales experience
* A positive and pro-active attitude to work
* Enthusiastic approach to work

Preferable:

* Contacts within the Liverpool business community
